30 Oct: Memento Mori Monday

St Mary's Church in Sparham boasts an impressive Memento Mori on a 16th century rood screen which depicts a particularly dapper pair of skeletal messengers in the Danse Macabre.

In the first panel, a shrouded skeleton rises from its tomb and points to the font while an adjoining panel has a female skeleton offering her male friend a flower.
